Near Media Co-op is a not-for-profit community media project in Coolock, Dublin, Ireland. The project consists of three different areas Nearfm, Neartv Productions and Near Online.
Nearfm is a BCI licensed, communally owned, not-for-profit project. It is operated by a democratic co-operative, open to all organisations and individuals in Dublin North-East.
Nearfm broadcasts 24 hours a day over 365 days per year. We operate an open access policy and run at least two community radio courses a year for new volunteers. The station enourages groups to use community media as a tool in their development work and aims to reflect the issues, events and stories important in the local area. Live streaming and enhanced antenna have widened the reach of Near90FM for the wider community in Dublin and outside of Dublin.
